Aftermath

First of all - an apology. A couple of days ago I found out that I hadn't renewed my web hosting service, so this blog was out of commission for a while. Sorry about that - but we're back now.

So we played at the Wanch on Friday night, and it was a lot of fun. Rob started off proceedings with a few solo numbers, then we played our first set. We ended up splitting our sets into three, as we were worried that we were getting through our material too fast. In fact, after we'd finished the guy who books bands at the Wanch said we should just play everything again. We didn't play all our songs again - but we did do quite a few.

Highlights:
Rob walking backwards out the door of the pub, still playing his guitar.
Rob ordering four shots of whiskey.
Me screaming "please, no whiskey".
A good-sized crowd of friends who turned up to see us play - thank you very much for coming, it was great to see you all there.

We handed out a few copies of our demo CD - Maggie and Rob put a lot of work in to make the CD's look nice with cover art and printing on the CD. If anyone would like a free copy, leave a note in the comments section of this post, or send an email to adrian DOT furby AT gmail DOT com

yes, it was great fun. Another highlight of the evening... My bass amp just slipped right down to the floor in the middle of a song and everything got turned off. I had to call everyone to stop and restart the song! What an embarassment.

In the second set, my pre amp box jumped off from the amp. Good thing Tunji was there to pick it up for me and reset things so I didn't need to stop the song.
