Geotagging photos
Flickr have just added
geotagging to their Organizr section. Which means Flickr users can now pinpoint fairly accurately where on the globe a particular photo was taken. For example, here's a map of the world that
shows where a few of my photos were taken (in these cases, Hong Kong, Putian and Melbourne). So if I wanted to I could go through and tag each photo I've got up on Flickr with its location.
This kind of thing is great, although it's going to be slightly tedious for a while as well. At the moment Yahoo's maps and satellite photos don't go into sufficient resolution to for me to find a particular street, which is a bit of a shame. And I'm not sure I'm up to going through a few hundred photos.
But I really like the idea of being able to select a part of the globe and then see photos of that place.
