Hey, you're always asking me where I find stuff...
Vinyl
In my music collection (such as it is) there are about 30 records. Since 1994 I haven't been able to listen to any of them, as I didn't have access to a record player. Last weekend I fixed that by buying a
small portable record player.

I had forgotten how much fun records are. And the player has a little slipmat on it so it's possible to do some scratching as well.
Blinky Bill has never sounded to cool...
Docklands
A couple of weekends ago my mate Frank came down from Sydney. One of his main reasons for coming down was so he could go and watch Adelaide play the Saints at the Docklands Statium.
We had a great time at the game - I was very relaxed as my team wasn't playing, meaning I was able to just enjoy the game and not go through four quarters of football with the usual feelings of frustration, anxiety and desperate hope. We got there quite early (Frank wanted to be sure we'd get good seats), so while we were waiting I took a photo of the nearly empty stadium with my phonecam.

I quite like this picture - but look at how tall the stadium is compared to the goal posts. Just a few decades ago you could go to grounds where you could have seen the tops of the goalposts over the fence. Not anymore - it's like the support structures for football are now dwarfing the actual game.
Coincidentally the next day I went to the SA vs VIC game at the Port Melbourne Oval. It's an old ground, with only a couple of grandstands and otherwise plenty of grass to sit on while you drink tins of beer and watch the footy. It's a much more pleasant experience. I think I'll have to get down there more often.
Update 09-06-2005 - This is a photo of the banner put up by the SA fans at the game. A victorious SA player is holding one side of the banner.
Bunny Update
Cooking the rabbit was fun. The meat was extremely lean - almost no fat on it at all. I had to chop it up into pieces, and then I cooked it up. The recipe turned out well - it was pretty tasty - BUT - because of the leanness of the meat, the rabbit was a bit dry. Which I guess is why you generally see it cooked in a stew or sauce. Anyway, I'm going to try it again sometime.
Rabbit
I bought a rabbit at the market this morning - $12 for about a kilo of bunny - skinned, cleaned and ready for the pot. I've done a bit of research about how to cook it - and I've settled on browning the pieces in a heavy pan and then stewing them in dry white wine, polpa di pomodoro and basil. Should be pretty easy, and hopefully pretty tasty.
Finally, the soundtrack
OK, I've uploaded the opening theme of the soundtrack. I'm not going to put up the end theme as it's just a bunch of Dietrich and Piaf samples all smashed together. Now, can I work out how to link to the mp3? .... hmmmm ... *clickety**clickety**
How about this....Enjoy (or not).
Hurray! It's done.
I finished the movie soundtrack!!!
Finally! As promised I will put a link to it up here, but not just yet - I actually have to deliver it to the director tomorrow so he can attach it to his movie.
Next obsession - brewing beer and cooking rabbit. Must find rabbit...
